Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Meet licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations, which may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through proper channels as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, and/or access points, with awareness that working conditions may vary by post.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Prepare clear, timely reports of observed conditions, incidents, and/or unusual activity, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or public sector personnel.
