Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, offering the chance to support customers and staff through strong communication, teamwork, and integrity in a caring, reliable, and innovative environment.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A minimum of 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience or a minimum of 5 years of armed security-related experience is required.
• A Level III Armed Certification is required in Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with supervisors and/or local authorities when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entrances, exits, high-traffic areas, and merchandise zones to help support loss prevention efforts, access control, and orderly operations during business hours and after hours.
• Assist with de-escalation, crowd management, and customer concerns while maintaining a professional presence and following post orders, weapon handling protocols, and Allied Universal standards.
