As a Security Officer Armed Site in Effingham, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer, where you will monitor and patrol an assigned location, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with professionalism. Requirements

Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through proper channels.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, noting unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or potential hazards.
Operate in an armed patrol post by maintaining readiness with authorized defensive equipment in accordance with site instructions and Allied Universal policies.
Assist with access control, monitor activity on the property, and help to deter unauthorized entry and/or disruptive behavior.
