As a Security Officer Armed Security Patrol in Chattanooga, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

• Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• An armed guard card/license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and credentialing or access control points, verifying authorization and following post orders for visitors, deliveries, and/or contractors.
• Support emergency preparedness efforts by assisting with evacuations, coordinating with site contacts and/or first responders, and maintaining readiness of required post equipment and reporting tools.
