Requirements

Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
Have supervisory experience.
Possess a college degree.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Have 5 or more years of security-related experience.
Have 4 or more years of military or law enforcement experience or possess a criminal justice degree.
Possess a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and emergency response actions appropriate to an armed post at a utilities location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts, supervisors, and/or local responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and other security-related concerns.
Monitor entrances, gates, and restricted areas to help support authorized access, verify credentials when required, and report policy violations or suspicious behavior according to post instructions.
Support Allied Universal standards by completing required reports, maintaining awareness of site conditions, and following all post orders, use-of-force guidelines, and equipment procedures for an armed assignment.
