Requirements

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess a college degree.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government facility while carrying out site-specific screening procedures and policies.
• Screen individuals, personal property, packages, and prohibited items using assigned screening equipment and established access-control procedures.
• Verify identification, credentials, and authorized access before allowing entry to restricted areas, and direct visitors to appropriate locations.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
• Document screening activities, incidents, and policy violations accurately, and promptly report concerns to site leadership and/or appropriate personnel.
