As a Security Officer Armed Personnel Screening in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener in a government location, you will help maintain a secure environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and communicating professionally with the public and site personnel. Requirements

  • Have at least two years of security-related experience.
  • Have at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide courteous customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific screening procedures and policies.
  • Screen individuals and belongings using assigned screening equipment and established access-control procedures at a government location.
  • Verify identification, credentials, and authorization for entry, and direct individuals to appropriate areas when needed.
  • Respond to alarms, prohibited-item findings, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
  • Maintain awareness of screening-area conditions, report suspicious activity or unusual conditions, and help to deter unauthorized access.
