About The Position

As a Security Officer Personnel Screening in Tavares, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener at a government location, you will help support a professional, welcoming environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, identifying and reporting security-related concerns, and providing clear communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and authorized personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Screen individuals, personal property, and authorized items entering the facility in accordance with established access-control procedures.
  • Verify identification, visitor authorization, and entry credentials; direct guests to appropriate check-in areas or facility contacts.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain accurate screening and visitor-entry documentation and report unusual activity or policy violations through established channels.
