About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Rover in Raleigh, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed Patrol Officer in a government corrections location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to site needs with professionalism. You will support daily operations through strong communication, teamwork, and integrity while delivering reliable, people-first service in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• An armed guard card/license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and support controlled entry and exit procedures in accordance with site policies and post orders.
• Assist with reporting, radio communication, and coordination during emergencies, transports, and/or other security-related situations as directed by site leadership.
