Requirements

  • Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Maintain an active DoD Confidential clearance.
  • Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience or at least 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Possess a college degree.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by greeting visitors, verifying identification, managing access procedures, and following site-specific policies for a government location.
  • Monitor lobby and entry activity, answer questions, and direct employees, visitors, and vendors to the appropriate destination while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Complete visitor logs, badge records, and other required reports, and support front desk operations related to security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
