As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As a Front Desk Security Professional in a transportation location, you will welcome visitors, manage access control, monitor security-related systems, and respond to alarms or concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while helping to maintain an orderly environment. Requirements

  • Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at a front desk in a transportation location by following site-specific security-related procedures, visitor management practices, and access-control requirements.
  • Greet, screen, and direct visitors, employees, contractors, and guests; verify credentials and maintain accurate visitor logs in accordance with site policies.
  • Monitor front-desk activity and access points, report unusual activity or access concerns, and help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
  • Communicate professionally with site personnel, travelers, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related concerns, requests, and incident documentation.
