Requirements

  • Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Possess a corrections officer license.
  • Possess a law enforcement officer license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government facility.
  • Staff the front desk, greet and direct visitors, verify identification and access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor logs.
  • Monitor access points, cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems, reporting unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and contacting emergency services and/or facility representatives when appropriate.
  • Answer incoming calls, provide general information and directions, receive deliveries, and maintain clear written reports and records of security-related activities.
