About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Protective Patrol in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. You will respond to routine concerns, support a caring environment, and work as part of an agile, reliable, and innovative Allied Universal team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • An armed guard card/license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, donors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and/or critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining an armed presence in accordance with post orders and applicable regulations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
  • Monitor access points, verify identification and/or credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations to site contacts and Allied Universal management.
  • Prepare clear incident reports, document daily activities, and support law enforcement, first responders, and/or authorized personnel during investigations or emergency situations.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
