As a Security Officer Armed Protective Patrol in Daytona Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to evolving situations. An active armed guard card or license is required.

Requirements

  • Possess a CPO certification.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government facility buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, while maintaining professional interactions with employees, visitors, and contractors.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and coordinating with appropriate personnel or emergency services.
  • Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation related to patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities.
