As a Security Officer Armed - Property Access in West Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a dynamic location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, noting unusual activity and/or conditions that may require follow-up.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry, helping to support site rules and posted requirements.
• Carry authorized equipment consistent with post orders and report hazards, disturbances, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contact.
