As a Armed Security Officer - Access Control in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location as an armed patrol officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Possess 1+ years of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at a government location by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an armed patrol post.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through proper channels.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorized entry where required, while maintaining awareness of government facility rules, restricted areas, and/or post orders.
  • Support Allied Universal team communication by relaying important updates, assisting with incident response, and/or preparing accurate reports related to daily activities and unusual events.
