As a Security Officer Armed Permit Holder Patrol in Birmingham, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide professional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. You will communicate clearly, respond to security-related concerns, and contribute to a caring environment through teamwork, integrity, reliability, and innovation with Allied Universal.

Requirements

  • Possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience preferred.
  • Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, critical situations, medical emergencies, and/or disturbances in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site personnel and public emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facility buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with access control procedures, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
  • Complete required incident reports, daily activity logs, and other documentation accurately and in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.
