As an Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will conduct routine patrols and drive as needed throughout the assigned location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Possess a 40 caliber endorsement.
  • Possess a California weapons permit with a 9mm caliber endorsement.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of technology-focused facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and report observations.
  • Monitor access to assigned areas, verify authorization as directed, and document visitor, delivery, and incident activity accurately.
  • Communicate clearly with site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and emergency responders when requested or when situations require escalation.
