About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Observation in Queens, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries including government, with a focus on a public transportation location. You will conduct routine armed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond professionally to security-related concerns. The role involves communicating with passengers, employees, and law enforcement while providing customer service. This is a part-time position paying $35.70 per hour, with scheduled shifts Friday and Sunday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Requirements

Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at transit facilities.
Respond calmly to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and public responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit stations, platforms, entrances, adjacent areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations.
Carry authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, client policies, and Allied Universal procedures.
Complete accurate activity and incident reports.
