Requirements

Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Pepper spray certification is preferred.
Handcuffing certification is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an armed patrol post.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism and following post orders.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
Monitor access points, check identification and/or credentials as required, and document security-related events, observations, and/or incidents in accordance with site procedures.
Work collaboratively with onsite personnel, visitors, and/or public officials while supporting emergency communications, reporting needs, and other location-specific responsibilities.
