About The Position

Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to the appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or deliveries, and support access control procedures for personnel, visitors, and vehicles entering the location.
  • Complete routine reports, communicate with site leadership and/or public emergency responders when needed, and assist with security-related concerns involving equipment, property, and restricted areas.
