About The Position
As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Memphis, TN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements
- Possess an armed guard card/license.
- Be 21+ years of age.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out Allied Universal and site-specific security-related procedures, visitor management practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility alerts, disturbances, and/or unauthorized persons, and request additional support as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by post assignment.
- Control access at designated entry points by monitoring for security-related concerns, checking credentials as required, and directing visitors to appropriate locations in a professional manner.
- Complete security-related reports, incident documentation, and shift logs, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
