Requirements

  • Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and requesting additional assistance as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
  • Complete required incident reports, patrol logs, and other documentation accurately and in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
