As an Armed Security Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. Requirements

  • Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Possess a Level III armed certification in Texas.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalating concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor entry, and maintain accurate activity and incident documentation.
  • Carry assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, training, and site-specific policies.
