Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, members, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including preparing accurate reports and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout guest areas, amenities, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity, policy violations, and/or potential hazards.
  • Serve at an armed post in accordance with Allied Universal standards and site requirements, maintaining readiness to respond to security-related concerns while using sound judgment and de-escalation when appropriate.
  • Monitor access points and activity across the location, helping to verify authorized entry, support asset protection efforts, and provide directions or assistance as needed.
