About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Operations in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a public transit environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and assist passengers, employees, and visitors with professionalism. Requirements

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Baton certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, passengers, and visitors while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following applicable procedures and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, surrounding perimeters, and other assigned locations.
• Help to deter unauthorized access, prohibited conduct, and potential security-related concerns through a visible presence and timely reporting.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.
