As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Operations in Nashville, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and provide professional customer service and communication. Requirements

Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
An armed guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a utilities location.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, access points, equipment areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific escalation protocols.
Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorized personnel and vehicles, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity.
Maintain required reports and records, including patrol observations, incidents, and equipment concerns, and carry authorized equipment in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.
