Requirements

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with hospital personnel and emergency responders as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, access control procedures, and the reporting of suspicious activity or policy violations.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, patrols, observations, and actions taken in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
