Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access activity with professionalism and care. Requirements

  • Level III Armed Certification is required in Texas only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through established site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, operational areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and/or hazardous conditions to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Support emergency preparedness efforts by assisting with evacuations, restricted area control, and coordination with site personnel and/or first responders when appropriate.
