As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver CPO in Hollywood, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer at a residential location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related concerns, and support residents with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Possess a CPO certification.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card and/or License.
  • Provide a DD214 with Honorable Discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a Police Academy Certificate or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential community, including common areas, entrances, roadways, parking areas, and perimeter access points, as assigned.
  • Maintain an armed presence in accordance with post orders and Allied Universal guidelines, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior at the location.
  • Monitor access activity and support residential property rules by observing for unusual conditions, assisting with inquiries, and communicating security-related information to appropriate personnel.
