Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol professional in a retail location, where you will drive assigned routes, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact with customers and staff, respond to site needs, and deliver trusted service with clear communication. Requirements

  • Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or 5+ years of armed security experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a Level III Armed Certification for Texas only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and emergency response activities at a busy retail location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with local law enforcement and/or site leadership when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, high-traffic areas, and/or restricted spaces for unusual behavior, policy violations, or potential theft-related activity, and report findings according to post orders.
  • Carry assigned armed post equipment in accordance with company policy, site procedures, and applicable laws while remaining prepared to support security-related response needs at the location.
