As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in Greenville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Requirements

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of security-related, law enforcement, military police, and/or military experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter zones to help identify unusual activity, access control concerns, and/or potential policy violations.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorizations, and report suspicious behavior, prohibited items, and/or unauthorized access attempts according to site protocols.
  • Support incident response and preparedness efforts by following post orders, maintaining awareness of sensitive environments, and completing required reports related to security-related events and patrol activities.
