About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Field Response in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. You will conduct visible patrols, operate a vehicle as needed, respond to security-related concerns, and help to deter incidents while providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
  • Possess a valid .40 caliber endorsement.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to transit agency personnel, passengers, contractors, and visitors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, administrative areas, parking locations, platforms, perimeter areas, and other assigned government transportation locations.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following applicable post orders and armed response protocols.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, reporting suspicious activity, hazards, and security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Prepare clear and accurate reports regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and interactions, and coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders when directed.
