As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Response in Harrisburg, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Requirements

  • Possess an Act 235 qualification in Pennsylvania.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Act 235 Qualification: Candidates must possess a valid Act 235 certification, which includes successful completion of a training program approved by the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD). This certification is mandatory for individuals seeking employment in security-related roles.
  • Background Check: Candidates must undergo a comprehensive background check, including criminal history, to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Documentation: Candidates must provide the following documentation as part of the pre-employment process: A copy of the Act 235 certification. Proof of completion of any required training programs. Any additional documents as specified in the job description.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the business and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location in accordance with site-specific procedures.
  • Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity, and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.
