About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Emergency Response in Palo Alto, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Armed Security Officer, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to site needs. This driving post requires operating a vehicle in accordance with Allied Universal policy. Deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
  • Possess a 40 Caliber Endorsement.
  • Possess a California Weapons Permit with a 9mm Caliber Endorsement.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the location, including business areas, entry points, and perimeter areas.
  • Monitor access points and report unusual activity, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
  • Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation.
