As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Detail in Laurinburg, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • A valid firearms permit is preferred.
  • An armed guard card/license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site leadership and/or public agency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, controlled access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verify identification and/or access permissions, and support movement control procedures in accordance with site protocols.
  • Carry authorized defensive equipment while on duty and follow all post orders, use of force guidelines, and reporting requirements related to armed patrol assignments.
