Requirements

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Possess an armed guard card/license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations, helping to deter unauthorized activity and unusual behavior.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, permissions, and/or vehicle authorization in accordance with site protocols, helping to support controlled entry and restricted area compliance.
• Maintain awareness of the surroundings while handling assigned equipment in accordance with post orders and Allied Universal guidelines, and communicate clearly with supervisors, staff, and/or first responders when needed.
