About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Detail in Greenville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a dynamic aerospace and defense location, where you will conduct routine armed patrols, monitor assigned areas, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. This role combines customer service and communication with access awareness, supporting a caring, agile team that puts people first and acts with integrity every day.

Requirements

  • An Armed Guard Card and/or License is required.
  • A minimum of 3 or more years of experience in security-related work, law enforcement, military police, and/or military service is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a defense-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, restricted areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials for authorized personnel, vehicles, and deliveries in accordance with site protocols and security-related requirements.
  • Support investigations by preparing detailed incident reports, preserving relevant information, and sharing updates with Allied Universal leadership and/or designated site representatives.
