Requirements

At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility location.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facility grounds, buildings, critical infrastructure areas, and perimeter locations; document observations and report unusual conditions.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation protocols.
Monitor access points, verify credentials as authorized, and help to deter unauthorized entry to restricted areas.
Carry authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific post orders.
