You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and provide professional customer service and communication. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazards, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities in accordance with site procedures.
