Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the healthcare location, including buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, requesting assistance from clinical staff, emergency responders, and/or law enforcement when needed.
  • Monitor access points, identify suspicious behavior, and document security-related incidents, observations, and patrol activity according to site procedures.
  • Maintain control of assigned firearm and equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, licensing requirements, and applicable laws.
