About The Position

As a Security Officer Deterrence Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. At a healthcare location, our Security Officers monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. In this unarmed role, you will conduct routine patrols, support patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication, and contribute to a caring environment through teamwork, integrity, and the agile, reliable, and innovative approach that defines Allied Universal.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through proper channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including hallways, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, assisting with entry procedures and directing individuals according to location protocols and healthcare-related expectations.
  • Support a professional environment by communicating with location personnel and first responders when needed, while following post orders and Allied Universal standards.
