About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol in Canyon, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a cultural institution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming atmosphere for visitors and staff. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a cultural institution setting.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and sharing information with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout galleries, exhibit areas, public spaces, entrances, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, assist with directions and general questions, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations according to site guidelines.
  • Support closing and opening routines as assigned, help to protect property and exhibits through observation and reporting, and follow post orders and emergency procedures during alarms, medical events, and/or evacuations.
