Requirements

Possess an armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and emergency response protocols within a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting activities and communicating with site contacts and first responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entry points, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and high-traffic locations, verifying credentials and/or permissions while reporting unusual behavior, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Support Allied Universal and site leadership with security-related assignments, including incident reporting, radio communication, de-escalation support, and adherence to post orders and applicable use-of-force guidelines.
