As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Agent in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and emergency response protocols within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting activities and communicating with site contacts and first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entry points, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and high-traffic locations, verifying credentials and/or permissions while reporting unusual behavior, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
  • Support Allied Universal and site leadership with security-related assignments, including incident reporting, radio communication, de-escalation support, and adherence to post orders and applicable use-of-force guidelines.
