Requirements

• Candidates must be at least 21 years of age (C101).
• Candidates must possess a minimum of one year of security experience (C115).
• Candidates applying for positions in Pennsylvania must have Act 235 qualification (C134).
• Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with issuing, tracking, and managing access badges for employees and visitors. (B201)
• Proficiency in using computers or tablets is essential. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to navigate software applications, manage emails, and utilize digital tools effectively. (B204)
• A background in customer service is required. Candidates should possess strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with clients and colleagues. (B219)
• Candidates must be physically capable of lifting and carrying items weighing up to 20 pounds as part of their job responsibilities. (B208)
• For positions that require handling firearms, candidates must possess a valid firearms permit. This includes compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding firearm possession and use. (B217)
• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Act 235 qualification is required for positions in Pennsylvania.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a critical technology and communications operations location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report access-control issues to appropriate personnel.
• Carry authorized equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, applicable laws, and site-specific post orders, and complete required incident documentation.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
