As an Armed Security Officer in a residential location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, access-related issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, documenting observations and reporting incidents to appropriate personnel.
  • Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence throughout the residential location.
