As an Armed Security Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to incidents and working collaboratively with Allied Universal teammates. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of production areas, offices, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access control points, verify authorization for entry, and maintain awareness of vehicle and pedestrian traffic entering or leaving the location.
  • Document patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
