As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government corrections location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. A valid driver’s license is required. You will provide professional customer service, clear communication, and reliable support while representing Allied Universal’s values of agility, teamwork, caring, innovation, and integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities within a government corrections environment.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and notification procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access to assigned areas, verify credentials as directed, document visitor activity, and report unauthorized access or unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain required reports and activity logs, communicate observations clearly, and assist with incident documentation in accordance with site procedures.
