Requirements

Possess a minimum of 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

An armed guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions according to site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verify authorized access when required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Carry and maintain assigned armed post equipment in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines, post orders, and applicable laws while supporting a professional presence on site.
