As a Armed Security Officer - Overnight Driver in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a government location, where you will conduct visible patrols, respond to security-related concerns, and support daily operations through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Have 3+ years of Military Police or Corrections Officer or Armed Security experience, or be a Certified Law Enforcement Graduate.
  • An Armed Guard Card/License is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials, vehicle permits, and/or visitor authorizations in accordance with site protocols and post orders.
  • Maintain readiness of assigned duty equipment, follow all weapon handling and reporting requirements, and support law enforcement and/or public sector personnel when requested and permitted by site policy.
